Several years ago during the ‘04 Presidential Elections I became disgusted with the political process and the garbage the public was being offered. I am not disrespectful enough to declare any of our public servants to be disreputable. They are all serving a function and it’s that function and system that I came to despise, not the people. Take them away and there would merely be an identical crop of ambitious people attempting to exploit a system that has morphed into a power brokerage, in which some can levy the force of government to their own advantage.

It was in this backdrop that I decided I should do something that could possibly make a difference. I realized the left and the right offered the public the same trash. Both the Democrats and Republicans have been converging for the last 1/2 century to something that can most optimistically be mistaken for a trough in which everyone who wants something undeserved comes to the one power broker in the country that has the ability to take and provide. This is not what America was and it is certainly not the reason we have arisen to the status and prosperity we have today. The reason for all of the good in this country is that we have offered our citizens the most free political and economic system the world had seen. It was not that our politicians were smarter than the politicians of the Soviet Union, but that our people had the ability to produce and employ their capital and lives as they saw fit. The miracle is that freedom brought us what we have and without any coersion, murder, or theft…which have been far too common in other countries throughout the world this last century.

Our Kampf was a book I put together attempting to explain how freedom in all aspects of life – political and economic – is what brought us to the position in which we now find ourselves. I want America to be proud of its history and to understand that if we are to continue to prosper we cannot forget what brought it about in the first place…freedom.
