After extensive research we’ve concluded that these are the Top 10 Signs you just might be a Socialist:
1. You advocate for equality for all and yet you want to raise taxes on certain social classes.
2. You support the troops but do not support the war and you did not support the war in Iraq but now you support the war in Afghanistan. So
do you want war or not?
3. You believe in bigger Government and yet you advocate for the government not to run your life.
4. You think that we shouldnt outsource labor and yet you complain about the rising cost of consumer goods.
5. You want the Government to take control and regulate all private businesses and yet you work for or own a privately owned business.
6. You want to get paid the same as everybody else, but the average income in the US is probably less than what you are making.
7. You think that the Government should spend more money to stimulate the economy when the Government has no money.
8. You think that the tax increase will not affect you.
9. You sit around and wait for the Government to help you.
10. You blame the economy for putting you in the situation that you are in even though youve been in the same situation for years.

The Mustache Revolution is brewing. It is not a fashion statement; it does not even involve hair. It is the revolution that is happening in America, Right Under Our Noses. It fits right in between Marxs model of government overthrow and Bernsteins democratic socialism. This is elected officials distracting the electorate that begs them to act unconstitutionally. Here is how it was done.
A Little History
Karl Marx advocated a violent revolution to nationalize industry, redistribute wealth, and create a proletarian dictatorship. This would be very difficult for the American left, since they are anti-gun, anti-violence, and tend to dislike noncompliance. Edward Bernstein came around after Marxs death and advocated democratic socialism. His goal was still to nationalize industry, but to accomplish it democratically. What is happening today is the Mustache Revolution; it meets the standards of both socialist ideologies. The US has elected our President and Congress democratically; most of the legislation has come about democratically; the problem is that the boundaries set by the constitution, make the process too slow. Therefore, in the name of Crises, Necessity, or Protection the limits on government are quickly removed.
Bailout Big Banks
Step one, use tax dollars to keep private businesses afloat. This gives government, not total control, but the ability to regulate finance in order to protect the interest of the people. Step two, make an enormous legislative blunder, and blame it on the banking industry. Let us not forget that the clause about the executive bonuses was removed, not forgotten, not left out, but removed. After there is a huge public outcry over executive bonuses, the next step is to levy a 90% tax. This tax of course is not limited to the bank that gave the bonuses, nor is it limited to the banking industry; the plan is to levy a tax on all executives who have a high salary and receive bonuses.
Stress Test
Of course, the wealth redistribution is not enough. The remaining step is to take major services, such as banking, health care, or auto manufacturers, and make them national industries. The first and most important of these is to take over the financial industry. The Financial industry is essential, because all businesses run off of the availability of credit (hence capitalism). Once all industries are getting their loans from the government, their nationalization will happen quickly and with little protest. So, after bailing out the banking industry, the next step is to create a stress test; this serves two purposes; 1) it asserts government power over the industry (no other industry needs to be deemed strong enough to survive in order to exist in the US economy), and 2) it makes people think that the government should step in when the test is not passed. Third, after the failure of the stress tests, the government will claim that the banks need to come under temporary government control. Since government has never improved a business after taking it over, temporary can be a very long time.
Not Under My Nose!
Things that stink are not meant to pass under your nose without notice! This revolution cannot continue to be ignored simply because we are in an economic downturn. Recession is not an excuse to jump from crises to crises without thinking out the political consequences of our actions. The hardest thing to regain, once it is lost, is freedom. And freedom is blindfolded on its knees in front of a gun named socialism.

Inflation has long been a contentious topic in the U.S., not really abating at any point since the 1960′s. President Johnson’s “Guns & Butter” policies of the Vietnam war era sparked a good deal of money printing, inflation, and debate. Since then the Federal Reserve, Congress, and every President have gone on spending binges, rampant borrowing, and always increasing money supply. These are the tools of macro-economics, in which central decision authorities nationalize resources to socially engineer what they think will be perpetual prosperity. The results are debatable, but the consequences clear: Continue Reading

It appears that we are witnessing, not only an all out assault on the greatest free-market system in the world, but the re-engineering of American society. The statements made by, then candidate, Barack Obama, that this economic recovery will be from the bottom-up, and the, dont you believe in spreading the wealth around, were insights into what we are now seeing played out in congress as a thrust of socialists policies being rammed down the throats of all Americans. The we won attitude and the your getting what you deserve mentality, is political hubris at its worst.
Frederic Bastiat, in his monumental work, The Law makes the case, that once we go down the path of using the law to violate liberty and private property, in the name of equality, there is no stopping it. He asks the question, Once started, where will you stop? And where will the law stop itself
Please think about the truth of the statements that Bastiat makes below. Share them with your friends and apply these insights to your evaluation of your government. Bastiat writes:
The mission of the law is not to oppress persons and plunder them of their property
.Its mission is to protect persons and property.
Furthermore, it must not be said that the law may be philanthropic if, in the process, it refrains from oppressing persons and plundering them of their property; this would be a contradiction. The law cannot avoid having an effect upon persons and property; and if the law acts in any manner except to protect them, its actions then necessarily violate the liberty of persons and their right to own property.
The law is justicesimple and clear, precise and bounded. Every eye can see it, and every mind can grasp it; for justice is measurable, immutable, and unchangeable. Justice is neither more than this nor less than this.
If you exceed this proper limitif you attempt to make the law religious, fraternal, equalizing, philanthropic, industrial, literary, or artisticyou will then be lost in an uncharted territory, in vagueness and uncertainty, in a forced utopia or, even worse, in a multitude of utopias, each striving to seize the law and impose it upon you. This is true because fraternity and philanthropy, unlike justice, do not have precise limits. Once started, where will you stop? And where will the law stop itself?
The speed at which the current administration and congress is moving creates a barrier to the appropriate dialog necessary to ensure competent public policy decisions. This, I believe, is by design. We must keep thinking through what we are hearing and give thoughtful responses to our government officials. Me must slow this train down.

Everyday our liberties and freedom come under fire. The American Republic once protected its citizens from arbitrary abuse, extortion, and deliberate social engineering. Now the very same public servants who were meant to work for us connive daily on how to control our lives. The Republic is gone and we are left to fend for ourselves, to put up resistance to every encroachment on individual self-determination. The Freedom Under Fire Report provides daily coverage of the most important issues, so that you remain informed and ready to defend yourself. Read on and pass this around to everyone you think could benefit:
Obama Wants $634 billion for Socialized Health Care. President Obama is calling on Congress to appropriate $634 billion for a health care “reserve fund” aimed at reforming the system and providing care for 46 million Americans who are currently not insured.
Obama Wants Higher Taxes on Wealthy to Pay for Health Care. President Obama intends to propose additional tax increases on the affluent to pay for his promise to make health care more accessible and affordable. This will be done by calling for stricter limits on the benefits of itemized deductions taken by the wealthiest households. Also in the mix to fund health care, are proceeds from carbon cap-and-trade permits businesses must buy when they exceed pollution thresholds.
House Passes New spending Bill, Another $410 billion. The House of Representatives passed a $410 billion omnibus spending bill packed with pet projects requested by both Democrats and Republicans. This comes a week after President Obama signed a $787 billion spending bill to “fix” the economy. Spending on domestic programs increased 8% for the current fiscal year, with critics pointing to myriad pork lines totalling $8 billion for more than 8,500 projects. These include such ridiculous items as $1.7 million for a honey bee lab in Texas, $346,000 for research on apple fire blight in Michigan and New York, and $1.5 million for work on grapes and grape products, including wine. Can this get any more ridiculous?
U.S. Government Virtually Takes Over Student Loan Market. The federal government has quietly increased funding in the student loan market to such a large degree that many wonder if there still remains a role for private investors. The U.S. government has committed hundreds of billions to purchase loans directly and make additional guarantees in the secondary market for student debt instruments.
State Department Accuses China of Human Rights Abuses. The U.S. State Department issued a report on the state of human rights around the world, which singled out China for numerous violations. It accused China of stepping up “severe cultural and religious repression” of minorities, as well as increasing its detention and harrassment of dissidents. Ironically, this comes just after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told China that these issues would take back burner to pressing economic relationships, including a call for the Chinese to continue buying U.S. Treasury securities.
